CMS awarded government funding
CMS are delighted to annouce that we have been successful in our bid to receive government funding for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. With only a 20% success rate on application its a real feather in the company's cap.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) supports UK businesses wanting to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance by accessing the knowledge and expertise available within UK Universities and Colleges.
In January, Glenn Le Faou joined our team. Glenn a product design engineer having spent 12 months with PearsonLloyd, joins us on a 2 year contract, imparting his expertise in research and development to benefit our clients.
A perfect example of another KTP project that Oxford Brookes has assisted with includes the work on YASA’s motor for the Morgan Lifecar. YASA came to Oxford Brookes for knowledge of materials and joining technology, in a KTP that would enable it to shorten production times of its revolutionary new electric motor as it gears up to meet spiralling demand worldwide.
CMS are always looking to push the boundaries, to be leaders in our field, the KTP project alongside our own internal expertise and software investments is the perfect partnership for fulfilling and exceeding client expectations.
